Adriane Harris, Principal/Owner of HarCo, is an urban planner and real estate development practitioner with a proven track record of multi-stakeholder engagement and public-private partnerships in implementing housing and growth management policies and programs for nearly 25 years. Her place-based work began in Nashville, TN, and spanned across many sectors, including directing the Mayor’s Office of Housing during two mayoral administrations. She later worked for national organizations leading multi-million dollar programs and strategies focused on housing policy and community investment strategies.
Many have described her leadership style as calm, innovative, and solutions-oriented.
Certifications
Adriane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. She is a Center for Community Investment Fulcrum Fellow and Field Catalyst, focusing on increasing investment in communities through traditional and non-traditional capital, including the integration of health institutions and philanthropy. She is also a certified personal and executive coach, primarily focused on emerging and transitioning leaders in real estate and community development. She has also completed trainings in human-centered design, somatics, and futurism.
In December 2022, Adriane was appointed to the City of Greenbelt's newly formed 21-member Reparations Commission charged with reviewing, discussing, and recommending solutions to address reparations for African Americans and Native Americans in the City of Greenbelt, MD. She also serves on various boards focused on transforming communities nationwide.
